Goldie continues an exploration of the chrome fill technique from the mid-90s, influenced by artists like Skotch MKA and CI and their approach to colour, texture, and form within graffiti culture.
Originally developed and painted in the SMC Shop basement, the work exists within the environment of an underground mini ramp space — a setting that shaped both the process and aesthetic direction.
This in-house piece brings that context into a heavier, everyday silhouette.
